A new generation of .edu splogs

Check this out http://blogs.pi.edu/. It’s a website for Pickering Institute. (For more details, do a whois, I don’t want to publish the registrant’s details here).

For a mere $50 a month, they’ll let you have a .edu subdomain wp blog. This’d be the most expensive blog hosting account for a blog I’ve seen.

Here’s an example (no followed) promoting printer inks and coupons http://classes.pi.edu/.

It is believed Google attaches a lot of trust to .EDU sites. Unless Google clamps down on this site, we are going to have a new generation of spam links.
